2022 HENNESSEY VENOM F5 SPECIFICATIONS

Obviously, the Venom F5 is one of the fastest cars in Tier 5.

Just about everyone knows that the goal of the Hennessey Venom F5 is to break the 300-mph mark. The U.S.-born hypercar is gradually approaching that goal, having hit 200 mph (322 km/h) in aerodynamic validation tests in 2021 and 250 mph (402 km/h) in high-speed tests in January.

The airbag-free supercar has now gone one better again. This time, it managed a speed of 271.6 mph (437.1 km/h). The run took place in February 2022 at the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds in Florida, where Hennessey took the Venom F5 to perform final calibrations on the steering, brakes, engine and aerodynamics.

In other words, the company’s goal was not necessarily to achieve a higher speed compared to previous tests. Nevertheless, it managed to reach a speed of 437.1 km/h (271.6 mph). Loosely based on the motto: While you’re at it …

Don’t expect another high-speed ride anytime soon, because according to company founder John Hennessey, the focus is now on making cars. If all goes according to plan, more than 12 Venom F5s could be delivered this year.

Officials at the Texas-based tuner say high-speed testing will likely resume later in 2022. Possibly then, they will bring the hypercar with its 1,817-horsepower V8 close to the 300-mph mark. Converted, that’s just under 483 mph.
